Suggested name change for MySpace website
The headline of this AP story, "Colorado Police Use MySpace to ID Suspects," may give you the idea that the website's becoming a valuable law-enforcement tool for catching rapists and child molesters.
But the unfortunate victim of a violent gang rape wouldn't have met the creeps if it hadn't been for MySpace.
Along with the usual teen verbal intercourse, the website inadvertantly facilitates meetings between gullible kids and ghouls from Stephen King novels.
Hence, our suggested name change for MySpace: "Strangers with Candy."
Think that will be enough to get careless parents to monitor kids' Internet use?
