Police use 'MySpace' to find teen vandals

Nearly five months ago, three suspects tagged a police vehicle with graffiti. The Crime Tracker 3 Team shows us how Henderson Police used MySpace.com to track down the teens responsible.
In October a patrol car parked at the Galleria Mall was tagged in the middle of the night. Because of the monikers that were put on the vehicle, police were able to connect the crime to a gang that has been in Henderson for about two years.
Detectives followed multiple leads and checked various web sites including MySpace.com; that's where they found their answers.
"They posted pictures of them on their MySpace.com of them actually tagging the patrol vehicle," said Lt. Troy Hatch, Henderson Police.
The three teens were all charged with a felony for defacing a police vehicle, but none of them showed up for their court dates. There are now warrants out for their arrest.
Hatch says with more and more teens using MySpace.com, law enforcement agencies across the country are getting a little help on tracking bold criminals who are proud to boast about what they've done with anyone willing to surf the web.
